Interview with Mrs Bridgwood

What do you like to do on your days off?

I like to spend time with my family and visit new places. We have a dog called Pippa who we like taking on walks; one of our favourite places to visit is Bradgate Park.

Who is your inspiration?

Throughout my life I have been inspired by many people, both professionally and personally. However, my greatest inspiration is my children. They have taught me so much, and they inspire me to be the best version of myself that I can be.

Why did you want to become the headteacher at Foxbridge Primary School?

I chose Foxbridge as the chance to become the first headteacher at a brand-new school is a unique and very exciting opportunity. Being a part of Scholars Academy Trust appealed to me as their core values align closely with mine - I put children at the heart of everything and believe that only the very best will do.

The school is built within a new community in Castle Donington, and I am looking forward to working with all stakeholders to create a highly successful school in the heart of it.

What is your favourite children's book?

One of the things I love most about being a teacher is sharing stories with children, I have many favourites! If I had to choose one, it would be The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. However, We're Going On a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen would be a very close second!

What are you most excited about?

I am most excited about getting to know the children and families who will be joining me at Foxbridge. I am thrilled that the school is now open so that we can begin creating a wonderful new school community together.
