Foxbridge School Building Taking Shape
Developers are making progress on the school building. Roofs and some internal walls are erected and the premises is starting to take shape.
For those of us who haven't been past the Foxbridge school site on Welsted Road recently, click on the links below to see how the building is progressing.
Built by Seddon, on behalf of Miller homes, Redrow PLC, and Clowes Developents UK, and on request of the County Council, the state-of-the-art building has been designed to minimise environmental impact and its reliance on energy grid supplied fuels.
Features include energy efficient lamps, natural ventilation systems and presence detection lighting in frequently used rooms, and is inline with the council's wider plans to become energy neutral by 2030.
The school will provide the additional school places needed due to 895 home development and will be opening in August 2022 and is currently accepting applications for Foundation stage.
